The 43rd Japan Golf Fair will be held on Friday, February 20 to Sunday, February 22, 2009 in West Halls 1 and 2, Tokyo Big Sight.
The Japan Golf Goods Association (Chairman: Mr. Masato Mizuno) presents the 43rd Japan Golf Fair 2009 from Friday, February 20th to Sunday, February 22nd.
This three-day-event will be in the West Halls 1 and 2 of the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, also called Tokyo Big Sight, located in the Ariake district of Tokyo.
“Pre-occupied with Golf” is the catch phrase of the 43rd Japan Golf Fair 2009. The Japan Golf Fair claims to be the No.1 golf event in Asia. The Fair has a great number of golf related companies from all over the world as exhibitors.
As the main source for the latest golf information, the contents of the Fair concentrate on exhibits and demonstrations. A large variety of golf-related products, equipment and information, is exhibited to visitors.
Driven by a recent surge in the popularity of women professional golfers, Japanese companies have increased their participation in the Fair, with 186 exhibitors occupying 582 booth spaces as of February 10, 2009. Participation by overseas exhibitors continues to increase every year, with this year’s Fair featuring exhibitors from twelve nations occupying 33 booths.
Several exciting events will be held in the Japan Golf Goods Association area. There will be an introduction of The JGGA activities and a Charity Bid Auction, in which visitors can purchase goods contributed by professional golfers. During the Fair, other events are also scheduled: a large number of golf seminars, Trial Hitting booths, including some booths for women only, a Longest Drive Challenge, and the chance to experience new clubs from 7 different manufactures.
Following last year’s popularity, The Japan Golf Fair will hold “The Second Virtual Golf Tournament” presented by Golf Zone. This is a fun-filled simulation golfcompetition played by three top professionals from each category of golfer: senior, men, and women.
The organizers will hold a press conference on the opening day of the Fair, Friday, February 20, 2009 at 11:00 am. At the press conference, members of the press will be provided with information about golf industry trends and facts about this year’s Fair based on internal data collected by the Japan Golf Goods Association. The press conference is scheduled to take place at the Exhibitor’s Rental Room in the 2nd floor annex of the West Exhibition Hall.
